About Me |
My name is Matthew Tait and I am a graduate student from Middlesbrough, England. I earned my undergraduate degree in Sports Coaching Science from my hometown college, Teesside University in 2013. Upon completing my undergraduate degree, I got a job with UK International Soccer, an organization which gives British soccer coaches the opportunity to coach in the United States. I coached in numerous different cities across the states, before taking up a permanent role with Pacesetter Soccer Club in Toledo, OH. I have a real passion for sport particularly soccer and I thoroughly enjoyed my time coaching and learning at such an excellent organization.
I finished coaching for Pacesetter in June 2015 and enrolled to attend Tiffin University for the upcoming fall. On top of studying my MBA at Tiffin, I also represented the men's soccer team from 2015-2017. Throughout my time at Tiffin, I have been privileged to work with and learn from a number of different people in various different settings; be it in the classroom or on the soccer field. My experiences in my life have set me up on my way to achieving my professional goals; my main aim is to work within a professional or collegiate soccer program as a coach. I would also love to oversee athletic programs within universities as an athletic director and possibly start my own coaching organization or junior soccer program. In order to support my professional ambitions, I will be working with LS Sports Coaching; a multi sports coaching organization which works with athletes aged between 6-16 years old in order to achieve a variety of goals. During my time within the organization I will work closely with Lee Scott, the founder of the organization. My role will be multi-faceted and I will help with a number of different day-to-day duties of the organization. |
